For The Family Or Classroom Cont'd

I disagree with the comment that kindergarteners are too young to understand child birth. It was explained to me at this age, and besides, the children's potential confusion only supports my point that it's okay to show the educational video (it was a Reading Rainbow video targeted at that age group) in a classroom setting where kids have a chance to ask questions.

As to the mouth-washing comment, I'm not sure I understand the writer's point. This is not a case of corporal punishment. Mrs. Braverman was trying to teach her students something, and no one was harmed. Her violation of district policy was innocuous, and anyway, she had shown the video in the past without any trouble. Why should she be punished now?
